North Korea- Cell phones
It may seem impossible to live without a mobile phone. But North Korea banned the sale and use of cellular devices in 2004. It has resulted in the rise of a mobile black market, with relay stations set up on the Chinese border. Even though the ban was partially lifted in 2008, the people were not allowed to call out of the country or none were allowed to enter the country. The cell-phone population of the country is still low.
