Technologies Banned in Different Countries
U.S. - Windows Vista
The Federal Department of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration of the U.S. government have banned Windows Vista in 2007. The operating system was also not allowed to get installed on any of the internal network of the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The ban was imposed saying the security and compatibility issues. Microsoft office and Internet Explorer 7 was also added to the list and it was a major blow to Microsoft.
