5. Dave Morin: Path

Dave Morin was offered $100 million by Google for his site “Path”, within one month of the launch. This earlier Facebook guy turned down the offer from Google. He relaunched “Path” in November 2011. This social network application for iPhone with some beautiful features of its own had crossed two million downloads last month and is expected to continue at the same momentum this year.

6. Kevin Rose: Oink

Kevin, the founder of Digg started another company Milk after raising $1.5 million. The first product from Milk was a mobile application called Oink. The app lets people review individual items in a shop rather than the entire shop, like review of a hamburger in a restaurant. The app received a huge response with 100,000 downloads in the first week alone and we can expect a lot more products like this from Milk.
