5. “Swaraj Mera Janamasiddha Hak Hai” (Self Rule is My Birthright):

Bal Gangadhar Tilak, popularly known as ‘Lokmanya Tilak’ (the leader acknowledged by the masses), coined the slogan “Swaraj Mera Janmasiddha Hak Hai”. He was commonly referred to as the ‘Father of Indian Unrest’ by the British. His slogan was truly an inspiration to millions of Indians all around the world and sparked the fire for complete independence in consciousness of Indians, thereby played a pivotal role in our freedom struggle.

6. “Vande Mataram” (I Bow To Thee Mother):

“Vande Mataram” is taken from an ancient novel written by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay. The hymn “Vande Mataram” was considered as the national anthem of pre-independent India. Singing this song gave strength and courage to thousands of pre-independence patriots to fight for the nation. Numerous patriots from Khudiram Bose to Bhagat Singh and Rajguru gave up their lives with the mantram of “Vande Mataram” on their lips. Some were even killed by the British for singing this song.
