There was a time, when most of the IT professionals preferred EMIs for any kind of purchases. EMIs were the best and the most suitable ways to shop for them. Whether getting a car or an apartment, they used to opt for the EMI option.

However, with the increasing risk of job stability and the decrease in the salary, the fondness for EMIs has decreased among the IT professionals. They do not want to take any risk of failing to pay the EMIs, when there is no fixed guarantee of their job stability.

6. Changes in the IT sector

The IT industry was once one of the highest growing industries in India. It grew from $6 billion to $110 billion within a span of 10 years, which is from 2002-2012.

But along with time, the IT industry started experiencing changes in their traits. When software was once the most common field of IT industries, today data and cloud computing, mobility and consulting have become some of the major fields of IT industry.

Thus, the recruiting process has also undergone plenty of changes and as the industry is already facing downfall, the average salary packages has also decreased.
