Preetha Reddy: Though the baton was passed down to her from her father Dr. Prathap Reddy, it has not been all cake walk. She had to prove her mettle to rise up the ladder. She joined Apollo group in 1989 as a joint managing director and is currently serving as the managing director of Apollo hospitals. Her other sisters Suneeta Reddy, Sangeetha Reddy and Shobana Kamineni are also serving in the board of Apollo.Preetha Reddy was elected to serve as an independent director in the board of Medtronic-a medical electronics company.

Mallika Srinivasan: Well, Indian women are not only heading banking and technology companies; they are also heading manufacturing industry.  Mallika Srinivasan is the CEO and chairperson of TAFE, Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited-the third largest tractor manufacturer in the world. She also serves on the boards of Tata Steel Limited, Tata Beverage Limited, AGCO Corporation and Indian school of Business.  She has also served in various industry bodies such as, the Madras Chamber of Commerce and the Confederation of Indian Industry. She is a well known philanthropist with significant donations to healthcare and educational facilities.
