This attack will have far-reaching consequences on India’s strategic relationship with Iran, Israel and its political stand on the West Asian crisis. But what alarms the country is that this very incident can make India a platform for Israel’s war against the Islamic world.  The Mumbai attacks gave us an indication, the first of this kind that the shadow war between Israel and its Islamist enemies would find a battleground in the country. Kashmiri militants had kidnapped seven Israeli tourists in June 1991, of whom one died fighting their captors in an escape.

The Israeli media reports suggests that the geographical location of India in the region that is much close to Iran and with Pakistan being the neighboring country with many agencies that support and promote terrorism, India is quite vulnerable to penetration. While the attack leaves a message for Israeli diplomats and tourists in the country to watch their back, India should take a stock of the significant establishment of Islamic networks here and should develop strategies that can prevent any propaganda war, (as termed by the Iranian spokesman), by foreigners in the Indian soil.
