How Airlines Make Big Bucks From Their Passengers?

6. Personal assistance

At times, when the old passengers are travelling alone, they might not be able to find their seats or can also feel it hard to board the flight or to get down from the flight. The VIP passengers might ask for special assistances with their baggage or paper-works. While the kids need special attention inside the flights.

Some of the airlines offer special services for the aged, VIP and the minor passengers. These services do not come for free and the passengers are charged with a certain amount for these special services.

7. Cancellation Charges

When the customer has already booked the tickets but is not able to board the flight, cancelling the flight remains the only option.

Even though cancelling the flight is possible with almost all the airlines, different airlines have different cancellation policies. In most of the cases, the airlines charges 40-60 percent of the air-fare as the cancellation fees. While some of the airlines refund the remaining amount to the passengers in cash, some others offer only travelling points as refund. These points can be redeemed, next time; when the passenger will be flying with that airline.
