Gartner says that e-commerce is being fuelled into a new area of digital commerce, using mobile, social and cloud technology to enable a raise in conversions and average value of an order.

9. Mobile and Wireless Technology

Many technology trends are evolved from the developments in mobile domain. Gartner chooses several predictions for top IT honchos highlighting some of the issues in revenue generation. Revealed in its report that that there will be continued development of the mobile browser and deployment using ‘bring your own device’ will become more main stream.

10. Infrastructure

Gartner says that infrastructure services must productize to save themselves.  Non regular buyers with new expectations require providers to rationalize their portfolios when they redesign their delivery model. This will help them maintain margins and will also ensure that they deliver tangible business process value.
