6. Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics

BI and analytics are expected to be CIO’s top priorities in the coming days. Major changes are in the pipeline to BI ecosystem and analytics. The dominance of data discovery techniques, larger use of real-time streaming event data are said to happen in 2014. It is anticipated that there will be a gradual acceleration in BI and analytics spending when big data finally matures.

7. Customer Support

Customer service is re-entering as the core business strategy in order to create a great customer experience.  Service needs to be consistent not only in social and digital media channels but also in mobile devices. It also needs to be personalized and be in tune with marketing strategies. Organizations are using customer relationship management (CRM) technologies as a major part of their digital initiatives to give the customer the best experience possible.
