Delhiites' Are the Richest in India

22.93 lakh people consisting about 14.71 percent of the total population of Delhi were estimated to be below poverty line as against 27.50 percent at all India level. 62.65 percent of the Delhiites’ dwellings were estimated to be owned, 25.71 percent rented and 11.64 percent as other category.

The monthly per capita expenditure was highest in rural Delhi and second highest in and urban among states/UTs. Average monthly per capita expenditure of Delhi is 1577.78, where 1,021.20 is for rural and 1641.70 is for urban Delhi. But average monthly per capita expenditure per family is 7341.
