Davos 2013: Global Leaders to Beat the Odds at WEF



The other global leaders to be present in the annual meeting will be UN Secretary General Mr. Ban Ki-moon, Kofi Annan, Mario Draghi (President, Central Bank), Angel Gurria (OECD Secretary General), Christine Lagarde (Managing Director, IMF), Pascal Lamy (WTO Chief), John McCain (American Senator) and Jim Yong Kim (World Bank President).

Coca-Cola chief, Muhtar Kent along with Dow Chemical CEO Andrew Liveris, UBS chairman Axel Weber, Embraer president Frederico Curado, Toshiba chairman Atsutoshi Nishida, as also Transparency International's Huguette Labelle will co-chair the meeting.

India’s Minister for Commerce and Industry, Anand Sharma is expected to meet the business leaders from multiple global companies. This list includes TESCO, Standard Chartered, Novartis, Unilever, Philips and Diageo.

Mr. Sharma said, "We view this (WEF) as an opportunity to showcase the opportunities in India and position India as an attractive investment destination," and also added that the Indian team will be discussing about the recent FDI bill in more expanded way in the meeting.
