Davos 2013: Global Leaders to Beat the Odds at WEF


The Indian Government and the India Inc has strong hopes and plans for this annual meet which will be running for six days. The economic growth of India and issues related with global economic growth are believed to be the main topic for the representatives.

The other top leaders attending this annual meet will include Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, British Prime Minister David Cameron, Italy's Mario Monti and German Chancellor Angela Merkel along with heads of global organisations like World Bank, IMF, WTO, United Nations, as also CEOs of hundreds of global blue-chip companies.

Mr. Kamal Nath, Minister for Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs will be leading the the Indian delegation team. This team comprises about 100 business and political leaders, who had a key role in the recent passage of the FDI bill in the Parliament.

Other members of the Indian delegations include Anand Sharma (Minister for Commerce and Industry), Praful Patel (Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Minister) and Jyotiraditya Scindia (Power Minister).

Azim Premji, Mukesh Ambani, Rahul Bajaj, Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chanda Kochar, Anannd Mahindra and other heads of top IT companies like Infosys, TCS, Mahindra Satyam and HCL will represent the India Inc team.
