Apart from being one of the successful business tycoons, Premji has also taken the active role in contributing his bit to the Indian education.

“The Azim Premji University” which is built across 75 acres of land,  located in the outskirts of Bangalore. It aims to provide post-graduate courses like MA in education, MA in development studies and MA in teacher education.

Unlike other universities, The Azim Premji University is purely a non- profit organization and mainly people within the age group of 18-44 can be found in this university.

Moreover, the university provides financial assistance for students who are willing to take educational loans and scholarships.

# Premji’s Definition of Power

Azim Premji is often recognized as ‘Bill Gates’ of India as he aspires to donate some part of his wealth to children health and education. Infact, a small part of his wealth would be sufficient for some poor people’s well being for a life time.

According to Premji, the power of excellence has a whole new definition. Being excellent is completely different from being simply good. In today’s generation, being just good is not enough. People should strive to reach their target which will in turn raise their standards constantly.
