Builder of Billion Dollar IT Giant, Azim Premji Turns 68!

In 2001 Premji Foundation was founded. It is a non- profit organization which aims to provide education facilities to form an equitable, humane and sustainable society.

The organization works to uplift the elementary education by bringing systematic changes in 1.3 million government-run schools.

The foundation is currently active in Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh.   

On the other hand, Azim Premji is the only Indian who has signed up for the “Giving Pledge” a campaign that was started by Warren Buffett and Bill Gates. It is a campaign that encourages the rich people to give their part of wealth for philanthropic cause.

# Personal Life

Premji is married to Yasmeen and is the father of two children Rishad and Tariq, where Rishad is currently the Chief Strategy Officer for IT in Wipro. “Business Weak” recognized him as one of the greatest Entrepreneurs for taking the responsibility of growing Wipro, one among the world’s fastest growing companies.
