Apple's Evolutions on the iPhone Software Since 2007


# iOS 6: Released in 2012, the iOS 6 came with better syncing capabilities between multiple devices and gets its own maps app leaving behind the Google maps. Apple also allows its iPad and iPod Touch users to use their iPhone contacts to send or receive text messages using the iMessage service which was not possible previously. It also comes with a share button on the Safari web browser on the photos menu which instantly allows the links or the photos to be shared using SMS, MMS or iMessage.

# iOS 7: The iOS 7 gets an all new user interface to the iPhone giving a makeover to all the standard apps that came with the phone. It also comes with a new swipe able lock screen with four swipe modes- unlocking, camera, control centre and the notifications. There are other features like the Music and iTunes Radio service, better multi- tasking enhancements and lot more.

# iOS 8: The iOS 8 is yet to be released; it was previewed by Apple in 2013 and showed the widget feature on the notification center. The widget feature lets you respond to the text messages and other notifications without exiting the app you are using. The iOS said to be out with lots of new features like the quick type, support for third party keyboards and many more and as of now, only the beta version is out for the registered iOS developers.
