 2. Android failing in the Tablet space: Android was expected to take over the tablet space from under iOS’ feet, but it couldn’t despite a number of attempts. Business Insider’s report suggested that Android’s success (especially in the US) could have been attributed to the OS’ flexibility with carriers. iPhones were only available with AT&T, and though the product was good, it wasn’t worth the trouble of switching carriers and network providers. But the iPad didn’t have such strings attached to it, and consumers on an average chose them over tablets running Android.

Android’s failure in this regard, according to the report, goes on to point out that either the OS is much worse than its Apple-counterpart, or that the most valuable company in the world has a better marketing department.

And speaking about tablets--
