Keynote declares Q2 results

Bangalore:Keynote Systems, the global leader in Internet and mobile cloud monitoring, reported financial results for its second fiscal quarter which ended on March 31, 2011. The revenue for the Q2 of 2011 was $24.1 million, compared to $19.4 million in the Q2 of 2010, representing 25 percent YOY growth. Keynote's products help companies improve web performance, mobile quality, streaming and real user experience, through monitoring, testing and measurements. Umang Gupta, CEO, Keynote, said,"The solid revenues posted this quarter continue to support our new growth trajectory in both our mobile and internet businesses." Umang Gupta has served since 1997 as chairman and chief executive officer of Keynote Systems. Umang joined Oracle Corporation in 1981 where he wrote the first business plan for the company, and served as Vice President and General Manager of the Microcomputer Products Division through 1984. He left Oracle to become Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Gupta Corporation, which he took public in 1993.Umang has also been an active investor and advisor to a number of Silicon Valley start-up companies including serving on the Board of Trustees of Mosaix, a publicly held call-center systems company from 1997 to 1999 until its sale to Lucent Technologies. The company's mobile business grew 26 percent in the second quarter, while its internet business grew 15 percent. Net income was $3.3 million, compared with a net loss of $144,000, a year ago. Keynote is expecting earnings of 22-28 cents a share and revenue of $24.5 to $25.5 million for Q3.
