3. Microsoft U-Prove:
U-Prove, an improved version of Microsoft’s CardSpace. Cryptologist called Dr. Stefan Brands led the project. In 2010, Microsoft officially released U-Prove under Microsoft’s own form of open source. U-Prove promised greater security, scalability and privacy. U-Prove was purely based on cryptography which focuses on privacy enhancing capabilities.
U-Prove is perfect example of building an ecosystem for the ID element but it lacked certain credentials which was very essential when providing a multi party security.About a year ago, U-Prove was part of a pilot program to give students in Sweden and Greece an online identity card. And nothing much has happened for U-Prove since.
