#5 Windows Small Business Server

Way back in July, Microsoft announced that it would discontinue its Windows Small Business Server (SBS) suite to focus more on Windows Server 2012 Essentials and the cloud-based Office 365. The axing of SBS can be seen as roughly premature as the product remains popular with small businesses and retailers due to its affordability, user-friendliness and ease of deployment. Hence, the decision of cancellation of the product did not go well with Microsoft’s channel partners

#4 Microsoft Xbox

Microsoft plugged off the first Xbox merely four years after it hit the market, making it one of the shortest-lived video game consoles in history. Even though it sold more than 24 million units worldwide, the device was terminated to make way for its successor, Xbox 360. Majority of the critics felt that the company had purposely switched to beat PlayStation 3 to market. But surprisingly, Microsoft turned its back on the original Xbox completely and their last game was released back in 2007.
