Richa Kar, the founder of the online retailer has completed her engineering degree from BITS Pilani and her masters from Narsee Monji Institute of Management Studies in 2007. Richa has more than 8 years of experience in retail marketing, branding and operations which includes the profit and loss management at Spencer’s and as a consultant to the global retailers for SAP retail consulting.

Richa said that she got the idea when studying about the Indian lingerie market in India as part of her job, there was so much social discomfort to it that it gets reduced to a 5 minute chore. So on Zivame you get to select all of it and get it delivered at the doorstep. 

When asked about the hurdles she’s faced she said it is a blessing in disguise for being a women as it helps her understand the customer’s requirements better and has never faced any problem as a women. She says if one’s focused, strong and passionate everything falls in place.
