Hai Ngoc: The Man Who Didn’t Slept for 33 Years
Hai Ngoc, a 64 year old Vietnamese farmer has never slept a single day in the last 33 years. He got the ability to go without sleep after he suffered a fever in 1973. The man uses his sleepless nights to do extra work in his farm or guard it at night to prevent theft. He used three months of sleepless nights to dig two large ponds to raise fish.
Insomnia has not impacted his health except a minor decline in liver function. He still walks 4 kilometers to his farm carrying 50 Kilograms of fertilizer every day.
