77 percent of the interviewed young entrepreneurs have less than three years of philanthropic experience. Whereas 74 percent of donors in U.S. have three to five years experience in philanthropy. Also, 50 per cent of Indian people defecate in the open. Sanitation continues to be a taboo subject, like leprosy, liberation of woman and HIV. But just like these issues, the subject needs to be addressed first to make a change in the right direction”, says Jack Sim, Founder of WTO, as quoted by Indianexpress.

While education was the most popular area to focus on in charity, but donations to food and clothing saw a rise in 2011.
