Started in 2010, Chadda is the co-founder of Chumbak, an online retail store which is focused on Indiathemed souvenirs.  In India, the portal retails out 130 partner stores and 70 in Japan.

The Startup also targets to launch 15 Kiosks by end of 2013, and to mark its presence in major airport in India. In February 2013, Chumbak raised undisclosed amount of funding from Seedfund.

 Chadda, 32, faced hurdles during the initial stages of her venture, when Chumbak started in 2010 her daughter was two years old. But yet, she was successful in ensuring a steady growth in business.

"Right from the start I did not want Chumbak to be a niche business. I wanted it to be a mass brand, which meant keeping prices affordable and scaling it up across the country," says Chadda.

#1 Neelam Chibber

Founded in 1994, Chibber is the Co-founder for Indus Tree Crafts foundation, which deals in handcraft ethnic products and retails them through Mother Earth, which was launched in 2008.

It raised an undisclosed fundings from Future Ventures and Grassroots Business Fund. The company targets revenue of 30 crore in FY2013.

Chibber says that building a network is very crucial for a business but most of the women stumble here.

"Women do not put in enough effort into networking, Women entrepreneurs say, as more success stories emerge they will have role models to follow, but, everything is available now, women now have no excuses. Those who are inclined should just start up", says Neelam Chibber, 50.
