2. Sanjit Biswas

Sanjit Biswas is the chief executive of Meraki. He has a PHD from MIT. Sanjit along with another MIT colleague John Bicket and Hans Robertson laid the foundation for Meraki. It is funded by Sequoia capital and Google Inc, with core competencies of providing services to mid-sized businesses into Wi-Fi technology, switching, security and mobile device management from the cloud. The cloud controlled Wi-Fi provider was initially offered a deal of 1.2 billion dollars for its acquisition by Cisco, which was rejected by its founders who wanted to continue the company’s strategy of becoming a public listed company. Sanjit Biswas came out with a statement that after several weeks of careful consideration the deal which was rejected initially had been accepted. It was decided that going along with Cisco would be a better decision for Meraki considering the success that the Networking leader has in the market.
