5 Powerful Brother-Sister Duos Indian Politics Has Ever Seen

Madhavrao Scindia and Vasundhra Raje

The Rajasthan royal family once ruled by a unified Scindia dynasty has now split by the family parting ways. Late Madhavrao Scindia and Vasundhra Raje were born to the last ruling Maharaja of Gwalior. The brother and sister followed their mother Rajmata Vijayraje Scindia’s footsteps to become political leaders.    

Though both of them grew together and lived together, when it came to politics they split ways. Madhavrao joined Congress and his sister Vasundhra became a part of BJP.

Being born in a Royal family, leadership skills grew within them. Both set out on their own to make their career in politics. Late Madhavrao was a great leader of the Congress party and died in a plane crash in the year 2001.

Vasundhara , an eminent leader in the BJP, became the first woman Chief Minister of Rajasthan.

 Though both are not together now, people still remember the brother and sister from the royal family.
