Srikanth Srinivasan

Srikanth Srinivasan, a Chandigarh born Indian-American, created history when he was named by as the first South Asian judge on the authoritative appeals court for the American capital by the U.S. Senate.

Srinivasan's family immigrated to the U.S. when he was just four years old. Sri grew up in Lawrence, Kansas, where his father was a mathematics professor at the University of Kansas, while his mother taught at the Kansas City Art Institute.

Sri received his BA with distinction in 1989 from Stanford University and his law degree in 1995 from Stanford Law School. He was also elected to Order of the Coif and worked as an editor of the Stanford Law Review, while at the institution.

Sri has bagged several honours along the way. The Attorney General's Award for Excellence in U.S. National Security in 2003 and the Office of the Secretary of Defence Award for Excellence in 2005 are some of the most coveted honours in his ketty.
