3. Lamborghini

Ferruccio Lamborghini was born in 1916 in Italy. He always had affection towards engine. He joined army during the World War I.

During his days in army, he was posted in the Rhodes Island. The unit, he was working for had to repair all the damaged vehicles in the war. This brought him closer to machines and also made him popular as the ‘wizard’ in his cavalry.

After the war got over, Ferruccio opened a small repairing shop. He used to repair small cars and motorcycles as well. His desire to do more and the agricultural requirements in his area urged him towards manufacturing tractors.

His tractors started attracting the agricultures and his company started growing very shortly. By the end of 1960, he started manufacturing 400 tractors every month. After the success of tractors, he also started manufacturing heaters and air-conditioners.

His love for high performance made him to have some of the best cars of those days. Even though the cars he possessed were the best during his time, he was not happy with them. He wanted to make them better and thus he decided to meet Enzo Ferrari but Enzo didn’t had time to meet Lamborghini.

Lamborghini decided to have his own car that will excel in every perspective. He soon found a very talented engineer, Giampaolo Dallara and started working on his own V12 engine.

By 1963, Lamborghini came up with ‘350 GT’ which was a quick success for the company. Years after years, the success of Lamborghini continued to grow with few ups and downs in its history. Lamborghini cars are still the desire of the car lovers around the globe.
