Apple’s latest iPad3 officially hit China months after its worldwide launch, mainly due to the company’s dispute with Shenzhen Proview Technology, a local firm that had laid claim to the iPad trademark. China has a huge iPad fan which forced Apple to pay $60 million to settle the case. But the company was able to bring the iPads into Chinese stores only last week, causing a huge loss in sales revenue from a big market like China.

 

#1 Economic Turmoil In Europe

Apple had really weak sales all over Europe the last quarter. Peter Oppenheimer, the Chief Financial Officer of Apple finds this as the major reason for the company to fell short in revenue forecasts. The company witnessed a poor demand for its products from the deteriorating economies in Europe like Germany and France.

Altogether, these reasons contributed to the disappointment of the company and also to its investors.
