2011: Least CEO Firings in Years

Hewlett-Packard's ousted its CEO Leo Apotheker just after 11 months on the job, replacing him with Meg Whitman. The reason stated was that a change was required at the top and the company cut its financial outlook thrice in Apotheker's tenure.

Leo Apotheker served as CEO from November 2010, making the company lose more than $30 billion in market capitalization before leaving the company on 22nd September 2011. The former CEO of SAP AG, has served that position from April 2008 to February 2010. He joined the SAP AG executive board in 2002 and was promoted to co-CEO of the company in April 2008
