#8 Who needs a Personal Computer

Ken Olsen, the founder of DEC – a company that ruled the computer industry in low-cost mini-computers – said at a World Future Society meeting, that without any particular reason everyone need a computer in home. Later he clarified his statement that he was referring to computers that control every aspect of your home. The arrival of game changers tablets, laptops and iPhones is now driving billion dollar industries.

#7 Landlines will rule

Marty Cooper, the Motorola research director inventor of first cellphone, said that his creation will never overshadow landline phones. He thought that cellphones will remain as a property of rich people. But today landlines are in the verge of extinction on the other hand mobile phones sales are booming like never before.

#6 Tablets have no future

Former BlackBerry CEO and president Thorsten Heins in a May 2013 interview said, “In five years I don’t think there’ll be a reason to have a tablet anymore.” However, a month later, he said that the company is interested in the future of tablets “whatever that is.”After some months Heins was proved to be wrong with an ever increasing surge in the Blackberry tablets sale.
