Understanding the vast potential in the field Kapur researched more on manufacturing helmets in India and started production with an initial capital of 2 lakhs. The firm was later registered in 1992 as Steelbird Hi Tech India Limited and currently has a turnover of over 150 crore providing employment to 900 people.
