#6 Inderjit Kaur

Age: 16

The 16 year old has made wonders to boast of her successes besides academics. Coming from Malaysia, she is a student at the Puscat PERMATA Apintar Negara center for gifted and talented students and is known to build a ‘Nanny Robot’ which can monitor a child’s sounds and temperatures, also signaling parents about the child’s cries.

She has also led a team of successful robotic competitions and has won a gold medal in the International symposium on Robotics and Intelligent Sensors 2012.

With her gift to experiment on humanoid robotics, Kaur hopes to pursue a degree in neurosciences from an American University.

#5 Joey Hudy

Age: 16

He has already met the President of USA and has won a number of awards for his engineering skills and creations. Out of that, his most recent one was a solar powered computer that he created in the Sun Valley Solar Ultimate Change.

Being an active participant in Maker Faire, Joey can boast of his two LED Adreno Shields created so far.  These printed circuit expansion boards can introduce children to the concept of engineering, with fun. Joey has also started a small business of selling these gadgets on several websites.

Presently, he is doing his high school math and science track at Herbenger Young Scholars Academy at Arizona State University. He hopes to become an electrical engineer and work for Maker Media Inc some day.
