Mukesh Bhatt established this company in the year 1988. At present Bhatt brothers which include Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt owns this company.

Most of the movies under this banner became musical hit. The Bhatt brothers are very choosy regarding the background music of their movies. Aashiqui (1990), Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin (1991), Naajayaz (1995), Dushman (1998) are some of the popular names under this banner.

Vishesh Films launched Emraan Hashmi in ‘Murder’ (2004). This production house has also introduced many popular singer like Zubeen Garg and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

The company was founded by Ramraj Nahta in 1977. Today it has a network in more than 50 countries. It has more than 1,500 names under its banner. It also holds the digital rights of more 600 films.
