6. Howard Schultz
Starbucks

Howard Mark Schultz has a very deep relation with Starbucks, where he joined as the Director of Marketing in 1982.

After completing graduation, Howard joined Xerox Corporation as a salesperson and in 1979, he started working for Hammarplast. Starbucks happened to him in the year 1982, when he met with one of his client from Starbucks. The meeting went so well that Howard that he joined Starbucks within the next year; he became the Director of Marketing.

After one of his business trip to Milan, he tried to convince the owners of Starbucks to go for coffee shops that would be more or less like restaurants. The owners didn’t paid much attention to him and thus he started with his own coffee shop; 'Il Giornale'.

After two years, he got the coffee outlet of Starbucks as the owners of Starbucks were focusing into other business. Howard’s high business skills and legendary vision made Starbucks one of the most loved coffee shop around the globe within a very short period.

Howard has also authored few books. All of them has been the best-sellers of their time.
