‘Nude Green Leaves And Bust’ is the most expensive art by Picasso ever auctioned and is done with oil on canvas. The picture was painted in 1932 for his mistress Marie-Therese Walter and was sold by Christie's New York in 2010. The art work was in the private collection of Mrs. Sidney F. Brody and was unknown to the world till it was displayed in public for the first time in 1961.

#9 Pablo Picasso (Garcon a la pipe)
Price: $104.1 million

This was the first picture to mark the history by crossing the $100 million record. Garcon a la pipe was painted in 1904 when Picasso was 24 years old, and shows a boy holding a pipe in his one hand and wearing a wreath of flower on his head. The picture was sold by Sotheby's New York in 2004.

#10 Andy Warhol (Eight Elvises)
Price: $100 million

The picture was painted by the pop artist Andy Warhol complementing Elvis Priestly in 1963. The silk screen painting was in the private collection of the Roman portrait collector Annibale Berlingieri for over 40 years. The auction of the picture over threw his previous world record of $71.7 million.
