IIT Madras topped the list this year. The premier institute excelled on parameters like industry interface, placement, and academic environment. Also parameters like industry interface had significant impact on its rankings. Yet another area in which IIT Madras excelled is academic environment and collaborations with several other educational institutes through exchange programs. It has signed MOUs with several universities abroad, resulting in excellent institute-industry partnerships which ultimately reflected in its scores.
