IIT Kanpur once again proved its mettle leaving behind biggies like IIT Bombay and Delhi. The parameters that catapulted this premier institute to second position are— infrastructure (6.91), academic environment (12.05), industry interface (3.11), and placements (26.33). Despite the slowdown, the institution was the center of attraction for companies in need of talent. As a result many students from the institute got placed into big MNCs. The HR perception score (23.9) contributed largely on the institute’s high ranking. The institute is also known for its innovations, fostered through activities like Nano Satellite and the Solar Project.
