3. Mayapuri radiation leak:

Mayapuri, a locality in West Delhi, which is used to be a major hub of small scale industries, was affected by a serious radiological accident in 2010. This place is known as the largest market of metal recycling in the country. That particular year, the workers were exposed to the hazardous pieces of cobalt-60 (a highly radioactive substance) while dismantling a research radiator owned by Delhi University. Unaware of the harmful nature of this element, one of the workers carried the smallest of the fragment in wallet. Later on, eight workers were hospitalized as a result of radiation exposure, and one among them even died.

4. Boy inhales fish into his lungs:

Anil Barela, a 12-year-old boy had swallowed a nine-centimeter long live fish while playing on the riverside with his friends in the Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh. It was a daily routine for the boy to swallow live fish - but on that unfortunate day, the fish went down on the wrong path and entered the left lung. Anil soon started feeling short of breath and was x-rayed after the oxygen levels in his blood dropped alarmingly. Doctors decided on an immediate surgery and removed the fish in a 45 minute operation. Dr. Pramod Jhawar, chest specialist and bronchoscope expert, said it was the first case of its kind that he had come across in 20 years.
