Still in wait of that feat that will make me and everyone who knows me,proud. As of now, having a satisfactory job with an esteemed organization and delivering my best makes me proud.
The Journey So Far:
My first stint at corporate world was soon after my B.Tech.It was a tough time and I could sustain the pressure only for 6 months 881984 quit.Then after my MBA I joined my current org. and have been with them for past 10 months.My current role is great and challenging and has doubled my confidence.
Changes In The Professional Environment:
My supervisors have been very down to earth and always gave me the opportunity to learn and grow. With passing time as my understanding and contribution increased, so has their confidence in me.People treat my work with more respect and confidence. Rest remains the same since I joined the company.
Degrees That Matter:
Specializations in softwares like Primavera,Intergraph SmartPlant, SAP modules, BI tools etc surely help along the way. Good grip over MS EXCEL and MS Visio is a necessity in this career path.
Working Life Management:
Things are in control and balanced because of the support of my husband.I guess for a working woman, even if she's perfect in her professional life, the balance between work & Life comes only if her family supports her.So my weekdays are packed with work, weekends are pure family time--> BALANCE!
Growth Strategy:
Always trying to gain subject matter expertise in whatever I am engaged. I try and innovate on the work in hand and always try and give suggestions to my manager.My mantra is to look at the big picture of projects in hand and keep on adding to your knowledge base.
Advice For New Professionals:
Prepare yourself before hand by keeping up to date with latest developments in your area and obtain a good grip/expertise in at least one field so that you can be recognized with that. Rest maintain your cool, be focused and always maintain a yearning for knowledge.

I am a Business Analyst and my responsibilities include developing functional requirements specifications, business cases, project estimations, etc.

The Decisions That Matter
Going for higher studies impacts your career growth a lot. For me, doing my MBA was a very important decision that i took.. Investing time in preparing for entrance exams, getting into good university and specializing yourself further gives a boost to the career.
