Bangalore: United States - the world’s largest economy shares certain common features with India. It is believed to be the world’s oldest Democracy while India the biggest. A lot of shared values are practiced in both the respective nations; therefore we see a large number of Indians migrating to the States to make a career out of the large volume of resources available there. A study by the Kauffman Foundation reveals the data that 33 percent of new ventures started in the areas of Engineering and Technology in the United States during 2006 were founded by Indians which leaves behind all other immigrant groups. This has been a significant achievement made by Indians in the U.S. Off late there have been several corporate giants who have shown their interests in either investing or acquiring the firms that has been started by the Indian origin Entrepreneurs. Here are 5 success stories that have relished this fact as listed by Economic Times.

1. Abhishek Anand and Soham Mazumdar

Both graduates from IIT, Abhishek Anand and Soham Mazumdar started a mobile-based customer loyalty firm called Tagtile. The main distinct feature of Tagtile is that its applications can be downloaded on any Android or Apple phone and due to this feature its business model is different from large discount sites like Groupon and LivingSocial. It even provides a cube shaped device to the merchants of different businesses which can be fitted close to the cashier’s desk. On April 2012 the San Francisco based Tagtile was acquired by the Social Networking giant Facebook.
