Bangalore: The online world opened up its doors of fortune for many, just one need a great idea as pass. An idea is what Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Page and Sergey Brin had. They founded multi billion companies and are among world’s richest persons now. The mentioned name may make you feel it’s not a kid’s job to turn an idea into millions, which on the contrary is very not true. #10 Anand Lal Shimpi



Anand Lal Shimpi, when he was just 15 years old started a website which carried his reviews of computer hardware on a simple Geocities page, which eventually grew into a mammoth site attracting as much as 50 million page views per month as of 2005. It is now called as AnandTech. Manufacturers began clamoring for his opinion and would deliver hardware to Shimpi’s family home, eager for the publicity a review on anandtech.com would generate. At just 17, his site was so popular that his advertising income was rumored to be approaching $1 million by industry insiders.



He has been featured in USA Today, 48 Hours, 20/20, Fortune Magazine and on G4. He was one of the keynote speakers at Computex 2003 as a celebrity speaker to entice show goers to return to Taiwan even in the wake of SARS.



Anand is also the author of the book AnandTech Guide to PC Gaming Hardware and has a regular column in CPU Magazine called Anand's Corner.

1: This story is not true. A quick Google search will show that Ephren Taylor is a con artist, responsible for orchestrating a huge ponzi scheme. This was one of the tales he told to entice investors.
