Finally, Google Releases Android Key Lime Pie Teaser At I/O

Bangalore: After much of the rumored releases didn’t make it to Google I/O this time, like Nexus 5 phone, upgraded Nexus 7 tablet, new Chromebook or Android “X Phone” from Motorola, and while Google fans were about to give up on the next Android too, the search giant surprised the I/O attendees with a Android Key Lime Pie (or another Jelly Bean) teaser, a animated video, and a crude game.

During Reto Meier’s (Android Developer Relations Tech Lead at Google), “Android Protips 3: Making Apps Work Like Magic” session at I/O, Google teased its fans with upcoming Android release. His session was to teach the developers about how to use advanced Android techniques to build good apps, apps so good, users will think they’re magical. During a 25 minute long session, the attendees were caught off guard by a video which showed ‘Android bot’ wearing a magician’s cap, eating a piece of Key Lime Pie. But Google’s tease did not end there, the next in coming was a crude game, like a Cthulhu, where the bot, accompanied by 3 kids, is taking on with one eyed, multi armed, monster, as reported by Android Authority.

Rumor has it that, the Key Lime Pie or whatever it may be called as, may be launched on June 10th, along with a white Nexus 4. The new Android is rumored to bring Bluetooth Low Energy support (BLE) and additional graphics enhancements.
