The city is also the nesting place for the next generation entrepreneurs to invest in startups and add to the current potential of the city, taking it to the next level.

“The convention is for the new entrepreneur’s to be inspired, the current entrepreneur to get some answers to some key questions and big companies to watch out for the competition” said Rajiv Jayaraman Founder of Knolskape Solutions and Visiting Faculty of SP Jain Center of Management, Singapore and Dubai.

The themes covered were - how robust the ecosystem is for startups, the challenges that exist in this ecosystem for the entrepreneurs to thrive, institutional support and counseling required by the future generations to add to the existing number and finally the role of a mentor and how they can empower the new generation and also inspire the current entrepreneurs to keep the boat sailing.

The first speaker at the convention Rajiv Jayaraman emphasized on the power of an individual, he presented the shift of power over the years and how it has landed with the advances of technology in the hands of every individual who has an access to a computer, phone and net. He said, “Being small is great and entrepreneurship is empowerment, it is challenging the social fundamental of today’s world.”

For the new entrepreneurs the food for thought laid out by Jayaraman was the connection between technology and the major players in other sectors. He said that if technology and other sectors are combined, like, mobile and retail or data files and healthcare, there are many untapped or potential markets which hold a multimillion industry.

The fact that Bangalore’s environment is conducive for startups and the freedom given to new companies is immense, it is another reason for the public to engage in the IT sector, unlike the government restrictions faced in other countries like Singapore.
