2. Live Journal-Social Network

The modern generation is sometimes called the Facebook generation, so is the craze of people towards social media network. Before the arrival of MySpace, Friendster and Facebook there was Live Journal, created by Brad Fitzpatrick in 1999 that allowed the users to maintain a public journal or blog.

The reasons for shutting down of the Live Journal were that site followed the criteria of an invite system from an existing user to join or else they have to pay for opening a new account. The system architecture was not handled properly and it succumb its growth rate.

3. Nintendo Power Glove Motion Controller

The Power Glove was a motion controller introduced in 1989, first device of its kind to recreate person’s hand movements on a TV screen. It consisted of programmable buttons on hand to play games in real time.

Restricted features with limited 2 games were planned for the hand glove; it made a sale of around 100,000 units in U.S. but the design put concrete for the another hit product from Nintendo, the Wii console in 2006.
