6 Worst Acquisitions in Apple's History

#2.Orion Network Systems

In 1988, Apple acquired Orion Network hoped to bring Apple computers connect with IBM PC. At that time, IBM had accounted for 80percent of the market for institutional computers, while Apple accounted for only 6percent.

Although connecting an Apple computer to the IBMs became easier, many businesses still refused because of Apple Computer's high price, many software incompatibilities and difficulties in training workers who never used a computer in their life.

#3.Raycer Graphics

In 1999, Apple acquired Raycer Graphics and also hired Bob Mansfield, vice president of engineering at Raycer Graphics and the acquisition is still seen as a success by many because of Mansfield.

Bob Mansfield went on to lead Mac Hardware Engineering through the release of some of the best-selling computers in the company's history and later became senior vice president of technologies at Apple and stepped down from the post and will work only on special projects.
