A survey done by Norton provides insights into Indians’ Internet dependence, the importance of their personal information and their level of understanding when it comes to Internet security.

The survey found that Indians spend an average of 8.4 hours online in a day. It seems Indians feels to stay connected online at all the time. Here are some more interesting facts about the netizens of India.

1. What Indians do on internet?

The survey found that online Indians spend an average of 58 hours a week actively connected to the Internet which is more than the time they are awake.

Almost 92 percent of Indians uses the Internet to check their emails which comes an average of spending 6.1 hours in a week. 90 percent of Indians spend time browsing the web on an average of 12.9 hours in a week. An average of 9.7 hours in a week is spent for socializing by 88 percent. 81 percent of Indians spend 4.7 hours a week for financial activities and 57 percent uses internet for uploading stuffs like videos and pictures at an average time of 2.9 hours a week.
