You can join Electronic Frontier Foundation, and fight for online freedom. There are many other such foundations which are working in their own way to bring that needed change in the world for better life, read on to know 11 best tech charities that you can offer your support for, as compiled by Huffington Post.

#11 Wikipedia.org

Wikipedia.org is simply the easy and best source of knowledge. It is a collaboratively edited, multilingual, free Internet encyclopedia supported by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation. Its 24 million articles, over 4.1 million in the English Wikipedia, are written collaboratively by volunteers around the world. Almost all of its articles can be edited by anyone with access to the site, and it has about 100,000 active contributors. As of February 2013, there are editions of Wikipedia in 285 languages. It has become the largest and most popular general reference work on the Internet, ranking sixth globally among all websites on Alexa and having an estimated 365 million readers worldwide.

Each year, the site posts large (at times, distracting) banners urging users to donate and keep the site "online for another year."

"With 450 million monthly users, we have costs like any top site: servers, power, rent, programs, staff and legal help," the posts read in part.
