This app however had to be shut down because the company didn’t know how to generate the main source of a business, money. They were unable to generate money. This was a sad decline because the company had more than 200 million viewers and over 17 million users. These are not small numbers.

Path:

This app was created by CEO Dave Morin, where people can share and message among close friends. It is a more intimate version of Facebook yet very different. The App hasn’t gone main stream yet and is hoping to hit the mainstream market next year. However, the app isn’t doing well but the company is sure that once they go main stream they can survive. Time will tell how the company fares.

Living Social:

This app was created by four employees from Revolution health group. The app is all about selling and displaying social stuff to do in your city. This company has seen much growth as the managerial team has been changed over and over. The present CEO has resigned but is in office till a replacement is found. The company will either file for bankruptcy or be acquired by a third party company.

Secret:

This app was created by former Google employee David Byttow. The app allows for anonymous sharing of messages and posts among friends and even public. The app is suitable for both iOS and Android. This app became to be seen as a tool of cyber bullying because of which some countries have banned the app from being used. This led to their traction going downhill and eventually out of the app list on Apple’s app store.
