Most Followed Indians on Social Media

Salman Khan:

The Dabangg Khan of Bollywood, Salman needs no introduction. He not only rules the silver screen but also the social media platform too.

Recently, the number of ‘likes’ on Salman Khan’s Facebook page increased to more than 18 million and 7.6 million followers on Twitter, even though the actor is less active on the social networking.

Not just that, the actor has fan club pages on Facebook and Twitter with over 757,057 and 577,919 followers respectively. There are over 60,000 Salman videos on YouTube and he has 2,774 followers on Google+.

Salman follows the least number of people on Twitter, including Sania Mirza, Preity Zinta, Pulkit Samrat, Arpita Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Sonakshi Sinha.

Deepika Padukone:

The dusky damsel, Deepika Padukone has not only made it big in Bollywood, but has also gained popularity on the social media platform too. With a follower count of 20.37 million in Facebook and 6.80 million in Twitter, today she is the most followed Indian celebrities on social media.

The actress, who operates under the handle @deepikapadukone, has seen significant increase in her follower count this year with her hit films like ‘Ram Leela’, ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Chennai Express’ acting as catalyst.
